When the World of Warcraft expansion pack was released, the Wrath of the Lich King, players discovered that the level cap had been raised from 70 to 80. It didn’t seem like a big increase, especially as less experienced players watched veteran players achieve the new level in a week or so, when it ordinarily took months.
